Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah’s Secretary General, said on Monday that although last week’s attack on a military helicopter, which he described as accidental, was dangerous, it would not sow dissention between the Resistance and the army. Nasrallah said that neither Hezbollah nor the army would ever succumb to sedition.
During a meeting with the Imam of the Jerusalem Mosque, Sheikh Maher Hammoud, in Saida, Nasrallah said that Iran and Syria did not influence the Resistance’s decision making process. He said that Iran’s commitment to the Resistance was purely religious and that the Islamic Republic had no tactical or political objectives in Lebanon.
Sheikh Hammoud, in turn, said that the Sunni community supported the Resistance’s war against Israel.
