Justice Minister urges Lebanese not to rush to conclusions on helicopter shooting
August 29, 2008

Lebanon’s Justice Minister on Friday underlined the importance of investigations into Thursday’s helicopter shooting but said it was unlikely that the incident was premeditated.

Minister Ibrahim Najjar also urged the Lebanese not to rush to conclusions and maintain objectivity in pointing fingers at who was responsible for Thursday’s shooting.

After meeting with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Regional Director, Sigrid Kaag, Najjar said it was inevitable that the investigation take its course, after which Lebanon could then either build on or discard for a Lebanon that resembled “Fatah Land.”
