MP Boutros Harb called for investigations into an attack on a military helicopter to begin as soon as possible. Boutros said that he had received disturbing information questioning the motive of the attack, making a swift start to the investigation especially important.

He said that the army protected all Lebanese people and that those who lost their lives while on duty, died for the whole nation. He said crimes against officers had to be punished no matter who committed them.

Harb said that he hoped the army would keep the public informed of its inquiries.
