“Belgian ship heads to Lebanon”
August 20, 2008

A Belgian naval ship, the F930 Leopold, tasked with blocking weapons shipments to Hezbollah, set sail on Wednesday.
The ship will perform military operations, under the command of UNIFIL and in conjunction with Lebanese security forces, aimed at stopping Syrian and Iranian weapons bound for Hezbollah from entering Lebanon by sea.

The Ship will head first for Cyprus, Captain Wim Robberecht said, before commencing operations, which are scheduled to last three months.
