HB won, bacause more educated lebanese left &will leave, thus paving the way for less dissent once they will fully establish their Khomeinist regime, outside of theircurrent fiefs in the south and H. Hreik.

Read my comment again,Marco, when you FAIL to accomplish the declared aims of your war then you failed and the others won when they accomplished their aims. The HA aim was declared by smahet al sayyed that "No force in the world will liberate those two soldiers except indirect negotiations."This aim was accomplished, Israel,s aim was never accomplished, the whole world, including the Phenograph commission say Israel lost except you.The war between Iran and Iraq lasted 8 years but no one gained any land as an end result yet we all know that Iran won.Consider this.

Sami, you still cannot answer the question, what has ha won on the ground in July ‘06? What was the difference to the map after in August ‘06 other than dead people and more lost land? You guys say ha won. Alright, tell us, how far did ha advance into the heart of Israel? What Israeli army groups/divisions surrendered to them? Don’t change the definition of winning a war, we are not fools. Where did I say that I admire Israel in my comment? Read the table above one more time (or in your case you might have to do it several times?) and tell us again what did ha win (in accordance with the normal definition of victory of course)?

Marco, HA did not win a piece of land, not all wars are about land. When Israel attacked Lebanon , it had declared aims, none of which were accomplished, one of them is destroying HA and returning the two Israeli soldiers. When one FAILS to accomplish his reason for declaring war then his war failed, tell us one thing that Israel accomplished by all this destruction.Since you admire Israel so much why dont you move there as others of your kind did?

Toufic, you guys talk big. The US and Britain won the war and occupied Germany. The German army all surrendered, Germany lay in ruins. Show us one sign of the ‘06 “win” on the ground. Show us one sign, just one sign. When the hostilities were over we had lost some ground even and we still do not have it. What land did we win or liberate? What armies did we seize and crush? Who surrendered to us? You guys do not ever even attempt to answer those questions because you know very well the pitiful answer. Read the table again and tell us, what do we have to show for our losses?

Forgot one thing. I guess the allied forces during the WWII lost the war coz Britain was totally distroyed. USSR crashed, France.... and millions lost their lives. For Joe, if your thoughts did not exist in our country, the above table should have been presented to human rights and UN (which u love and they dont) to be claimed from ISRAEL.

Marco: you are so naive, how can you fall for such creative accounting? None of those losses were incurred by HA but rather by the barbarism of israel and its allies. What about the fact that no israeli soldiers stand on your doorstep? the fact that we can still travel to the south and see no lahdiyes? the fact that a racist, murderous regime tried to impose its will on my people and failed? The fact that we still have a country called Lebanon: PRICELESS

These same small minds see only one picture:Syria. If they were to look at the largest picture they would NEVER mention the word "DEMOCRACY".Every regime that the USA/Israel support is a totalitarian unelected regime.Anywhere they set foot, they start a war.Name one country where the regime is supported by those two and I will name you a war or a revolt or ethnic/sectarian conflict. The Lebanese in the big picture are very small and will be sold sooner or later as they were sold before. The SLA lasted more than 20 years with the Israel/American support, it was left alone to its fate of shame. The Kataeb/LF/Hourras/A7rar etc. All were sold out at one time or another. The big picture for mature minds is the national movements without any servitude to foreign powers.

Only those who look into dots on the screen and fail to see the big picture are the ones with small minds. The others who see the whole picture are well informed because they take everything into account. Forget about the land lost to the east and south of us for now because there is only so much you can handle and absorb. Just look at the table above. you still cannot see and understand its meaning, then why even try to evaluate who is the one with a small mind...

It is amazing how some small minds insist into bringing Syria into all subjects , even if the subject was, how humid is the weather in Beirut. To some small minds, its is Syria's fault that the weather is humid. While the subject of this article has nothing to do with Syria, Marco insists on discussing the Lebanese detainees in Syrian prisons.Ya 3ammi, you keep picking battles with Syria and you keep losing, leave her alone or suffer the consequences, into mish addah.
