Army Command denies rumors regarding resignations
May 15, 2008

The Army Command today denied rumors about the resignations of several of its commanders,

The Army Command noted that reports in the media have suggested that the unity of the army is being threatened. These events led Army Commander General Michel Sleiman to send a letter to all army personnel on the importance of the unity of its army.

The Army Command denied completely the rumors about the resignations and said it hopes that the media will refrain from interfering in the army’s internal affairs and stop broadcasting such reports before receiving confirmation from authorized sources.

The Army Command requested that everyone involved in the political and media issues remember their national responsibilities and allow the army to undertake its national unifying role.

Too bad... Every single soldier should pack up and go home. After all, they have done nothing other stand by and allow destruction and slaughter. Shame on them!!! How can they hold their head high and walk around toting their core values??? Do they have no pride in their citizenship and their oath to protect Lebanon???
