The Lebanese Forces issued a statement on Thursday to announce it will file lawsuits against several Lebanese figures for defaming LF leader Samir Geagea.
The statement said the lawsuits name former MP Nasser Qandil, Lebanese Baath Party leader Fayez Shukr, former MP Wajih al-Baarini, Marada Movement leader MP Sleiman Franjieh, former Presidential Guard Brigadier General Mustafa Hamdan, and former head of General Security Brigadier General Jamil as-Sayyed.
In May, Franjieh called Geagea a criminal after two men affiliated with the Marada Movement were shot dead by an alleged LF supporter in the Koura town of Dahr al-Ain.
