Hout says we hope Jumblatt’s Syria visit will be to reconcile
March 16, 2010

Lebanon First bloc MP Imad al-Hout told the As-Sharq radio station on Tuesday that he hopes Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt’s expected visit to Syria would be a reconciliatory one.

This comes after Jumblatt’s Saturday interview with Al-Jazeera during which he had previously “in a moment of anger and loss” made inappropriate comments about Syrian President Bashar al-Assad

Hout also commented on the cabinet’s pending administrative appointments, saying that he expects its commission to soon set a mechanism for them.

“However, if parties continue to put their own interests above that of the state, then the appointments will not be made in full,” he added.
