Youth and Sports Minister Ali Abdullah said on Monday that Israel’s constant threats against Lebanon have necessitated the national dialogue’s discussion on Lebanon’s defense strategy, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.
The national dialogue convened for its first session earlier in March, with future sessions expected to tackle the national defense strategy.
The national defense strategy should harmonize the Lebanese army, Resistance and civil society together to face Israel, he added.
Abdullah also said that focusing on Hezbollah’s weapons in the national dialogue would be a waste of time and a favor for Israel.
“We should be careful of Israel’s attempts to disturb the Lebanese domestic security directly or indirectly,” he added.
