The Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Monday announcing that the Lebanese Embassy in Damascus sent back Libya’s invitation for Lebanon to attend the Arab League Summit in late March. The embassy said that it did not have the authority to accept or reject the invitation.
The Voice of Lebanon radio station reported earlier Monday that Libya sent Lebanese Ambassador to Syria Michel Khoury the invitation. However, Khoury reportedly expressed reservations on receiving the invitation.
