US Defense Secretary Robert Gates told Al-Arabiya television on Friday that his country rejects Iran developing nuclear weapon, especially since it threatens another state in the region—a possible reference to Israel.  

“[The US] will focus on the case of Iran,” he added.

Gates also said that Washington has agreed with Iraq a timetable for the withdrawal of US forces.
