Judges Awni Ramadan and Khaled Qabbani were sworn into their new posts on Thursday at a ceremony at the Baabda Presidential Palace attended by President Michel Sleiman and Prime Minister Saad Hariri, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.
Ramadan will assume leadership of the Court of Account, while Qabbani will be the new head of the the Civil Service Council, the NNA added.
Sleiman congratulated the two judges for their appointment, describing their mission to launch reforms in the state administration as difficult.
Head of the Shura Council Judge Shukri Sader and the Head of the Central Inspection George Awwad also attended the ceremony.
