Change and Reform bloc MP Walid Khoury told OTV on Thursday that Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s announcement yesterday that he will visit Syria in April should not come as a surprise to anyone, noting Hariri is after all Lebanon’s premier.
“Some Syrian [officials] informed us that they [will discuss during the PM’s visit] bilateral agreements, and that Damascus is ready to amend them should the need arise.”
Khoury also touched on the June municipal elections, saying they will be held after the parliament approves the draft municipal electoral law, which the cabinet approved last week.
He said that his bloc supports reforming the municipal electoral law but did not elaborate further.
