Justice Minister Ibrahim Najjar told Future News on Thursday that it is his duty to accompany Prime Minister Saad Hariri on his second visit to Damascus in April if he was asked to do so as part of a ministerial delegation.
He commented on the June municipal elections, saying that during last week’s cabinet session he voted for the draft electoral law, which was then transferred to the parliament.
Najjar added if the parliament does not approve a system of proportional representation during the elections, “Worst case scenario is that the elections will be held based on the current electoral law.”
