Chairperson of Société Générale de Banque au Liban (SGBL) Antoun Sehnaoui issued a statement on Wednesday that Beirut’s attorney general released a report last week finding that the former did not shoot anyone or order his bodyguards to do so.
Sehnaoui’s bodyguards allegedly opened fire in the Maison Blanche restaurant in Sodeco on February 26 and injured eight patrons, including businessman Mazen Zein.
Sehnaoui added that the attorney general’s report will be proven right.
“The attack campaigns by the media against Sehnaoui were not even close to the truth,” the statement said, adding that they were made because of personal reasons unrelated to the incident.
