Loyalty to the Resistance bloc leader MP Mohammad Raad accused Lebanon First bloc leader MP Fouad Siniora of constantly trying to include his comments in any official statement, the Akhbar al-Yawm news agency reported on Wednesday.
This comes after reports on the Resistance clause – that Lebanon has the right to defend itself through its army, people and Resistance – was crossed out of the final statement upon Siniora’s request.
Raad reiterated that the national defense strategy incorporates diplomacy, culture, media, economy, water security, and dismissed reports that the national dialogue sessions are a formality aimed at easing tension.
“Hezbollah is open to discussing any idea that safeguards Lebanon and protects its people.”
Raad also touched on Thursday’s cabinet session, saying that it is to delegate Minister of State for Administrative Reforms Mohammad Fneish with preparing a mechanism for making the administrative appointments.
