Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir celebrated mass at the Saint George church in downtown Beirut on the occasion of Saint Maroun’s Day.

President Michel Sleiman, Speaker Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Saad Hariri as well as other politicians attended the ceremony.

However, Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun, Marada Movement leader MP Sleiman Franjieh and former President Emile Lahoud headed to Syria on Monday to celebrate the occasion in Aleppo.
