Israeli Ambassador to the US Michael Oren warned on Friday against an Iranian atomic bomb, which he said could “wipe Israel off the map in a matter of seconds.”
At a festival in Colorado, Oren said that Iran will soon possess highly enriched uranium materials to create a nuclear bomb.
Oren called on the international community to remain cautious with regard to events taking place in the Islamic Republic during the country's turmoil.
The ambassador also said he supports US President Barack Obama’s initiative to reach an agreement with Iran over its nuclear drive, adding that he is certain the president has "the best interests of the US and Israel at heart."
